We think life is precious—and we mean it.
Analu perfume is good for you and good for the planet. We make sustainable wellness simple by using only 100% natural, sustainably sourced essential oils that are not only beneficial to humans—but also kind to the Earth. Many fragrances contain hidden chemicals, even when they call themselves “natural.”Let’s take a closer look at chemicals to avoid, because we believe that truly natural is essential to wellness. The next time you see words like clean fragrance, safe, or all-natural, you’ll know what they might really mean. If you see the word “Fragrance” or “Parfum” on a label, know that it’s often a placeholder for a secret blend of chemicals—sometimes hundreds. These undisclosed ingredients can include phthalates, allergens, and synthetic compounds known to trigger headaches, anxiety, skin reactions, and even disrupt hormones. Phthalates like DEP or DBP help synthetic scents last longer but are linked to hormone disruption, reproductive harm, and developmental concerns. Preservatives like methylparaben or propylparaben are added to keep products shelf-stable but can mimic estrogen, potentially contributing to hormone imbalances and increased breast cancer risk. Even “clean” scents can be misleading. Ingredients like Galaxolide and Tonalide don’t break down easily, build up in the body and environment, and are suspected endocrine disruptors. Other chemicals like Butylated Hydroxytoluene (BHT), often used to extend shelf life, may be toxic to the liver, disrupt hormones, or cause skin irritation. Petroleum-based ingredients such as mineral oil, paraffin, and petrolatum are marketed as moisturizers, but they provide no real nourishment. Instead, they may clog pores and contain contaminants like 1,4-dioxane, a known carcinogen. Some PEGs (Polyethylene glycols), used to thicken or hydrate, can also be contaminated with harsh chemicals that irritate the skin. And those familiar bubbles and lather? They often come from ingredients like SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate) and SLES (Sodium Laureth Sulfate), which have been linked to skin sensitivity, damage to the skin barrier, and even nervous system concerns over time. At Analu, “100% Natural” is not just a label—it’s a promise. It’s our commitment to your well-being, to the planet, and to the sacred connection between scent and spirit.
